I m back!

okie, out of the few dresses i posted up on the previous post, I found 2 of it in the F21 shop @ 313 somerset. Went there with Mavis. It was a last minute decision to go there (the 'date' was call-off at first because Mavis was not feeling well).

okie back to my dresses! I bought the black dress with the lace strap, was actually thinking of buying another dress which is more expensive than the one i bought but decided to wait till sales then buy since they have so many pieces left, unlike the black one i bought.

Let me ask you a question, what do you wanna read when you read people's blog.
1) The person's daily life?
2) The person's thought and feelings?
3) plain random stuff?

okie here is a thought/feeling,
i re-call/read something from the past... and it got me pondering....

it goes like this... this person A wonders why person B hangs out with me. To person A, it felt that I hang around with someone because I m using that person. If that person is worthless to me, I will dump that person.

I somehow wonder how true is that claim. (btw that claim was made 5 yrs ago)...

I will say it is true that the group of people that i hang out with changes over time.

In primary school, i had a group of good friend and a best friend.
We had fun together, sharing and playing with each other. But after we parted ways to our respective secondary school, we drifted apart.
My best friend went to a good school and for the 4 years, we only met up to exchanges gifts.
My group of good friends went to the same school as me but were in different class.

I drifted away from my primary school friends and gained a new clique in secondary school.
My new clique of secondary school friends were very close to me for 2 years. We had fun teasing each other, helping each other and just hanging out with each other. (i really miss those days!)

In secondary 3, we parted again. half the group went to mid-express class... the other half end up in the lowest express class. I was in the mid-express class and there i gained a new group of friends, this time the group is smaller. At the same year, I had a group of band friends whom i was close to. All these lasted till 1 year after i left school....
(except for my 2 good friends from my sec 3 cls, we still meet up but lesser)

History repeated itself again. First 2 years of poly, I had a class of boys. I will say we bonded as a class, i have a lab partner and we went to vietnam too for YEP trip. Things changed after we parted ways in Year 3. In year 3 sem 1, I had a class of friends too. We were also bonded as a class, joking around... but that lasted a sem.... After that I went off to China and met a new group of friends. We went through 'thick and thin' together and made a fool of ourselves. But as usually, once we touch down SG, we went our separate ways.

Same goes to my short-lived working life. I had friends in Colgate-Palmolive and KeppelFels but after a year of contact, we sort of stop contacting/meeting each other... as if we all moved on.

Same goes to my band friends in SWS youth/Zest!....

Now I am in University. Will all these damn thing repeat again?
If these things keep re-occuring for the past 10 years, it could only meant 1 thing.
I am the Problem! and maybe that Person A claim is right.

I really wish i could turn back time, to hold on to my friends. I wish I was given more than 24 hours to spend time to keep my friends. I feel sad that i am losing my friends... even though i am gaining friends every now and then.... i wish i have a permenent group of friends to turn to.
This group of people will truly understand me, know my likes and dislikes. Knows my whole family and my family knows them too. Comfort me when i am sad, love me for who i am, surprise me on my birthday..... I still feel that I have a shield when I am around people. I have not learnt to trust fully... I am always helping people, advising people, listening to their problems. but I am not letting anyone inside my comfort zone.

So many years.... i still have not changed....

maybe i am cursed with a lonely life....

haiz.... life dont suck... I suck

Day 7 - Taiwan -Beitou, Yang Ming Shan

It's my last day in Taiwan~ and we are still not done with the sightseeing!

Woke up early morning and do the usual things i did for the past 5 days~
The bus came and off we go to Yang Ming Shan.
Go google Yang Ming Shan to find out more (i am eager to finish this post so i can post other stuff lolx)

So thats my make-up for the day, dunno why this one was harder to get it right

On the way up to Yang Ming Shan, you will see some 'steam'. That is where the hotspring come from lolx.~

I love mountain and valleys~

When we reached yang ming shan, a couple of us decided to scale the mountain.
I went up 200m and I turned back because I am afraid of falling. The steps get steeper after 200m and there is no handle or whatsoever. So if you lose your balance, you might end up like jack and jill! So i "chicken" out and went back down.

There are other things to do while waiting for the 'mountainers' to scale the mountain and get down from it.
The place smelt like boiled egg because of the sulphur from the 'mountain'

This is a real volcano k!

How can i miss an photo opportunity with vast greenland? (in this case is mountain)
This view is what you see if you stand with your back to the volcano. Heaven and Hell? lolx

Awww~ Dream home! minus the volcano lolx

After spending close to 2 hours on the mountain, we made our way down to get some food!

Do I look like I'm in Switzerland?? lolx minus the people at the background la

Lunch was good. Lots of vegetables, those you cannot get in Singapore. A Drunken Chicken, buns and steam chicken. Yum Yum~

After lunch we passed by this shop selling gardening stuff and we chance upon the windmill section!
OMG~ the wind mill is like so nice and BIG! I(haha actually is my mum) bought 2. One is sitting in my room HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Last destination was a vegetation farm.

This farm is owned by a family, and the son is quite cute. WAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
So we walked around, tasted several fruits and pluck them too.
lolx, it is not a crime to litter your fruits seeds/skin/left-overs there, cos they will decompose and fertilise the plants there.

This orange is so sour that you only eat the skin and not the inside

To some ppl who thinks that blackcurrent is black... THIS IS A BLACKCURRENT!

Look at the size of the cabbage i'm holding. It is real heavy

One last hotspring before dinner at 8pm.

Day 8 - Taiwan to Singapore

Since I'm going to go home, means less cam-whore... i decided to not to make-up~ tada.. this is how i look without make-up. Still have big eyes huh~

I woke up early and decided to walk to the hotspring museum.
This museum used to be a public bathe house in beitou like the kind that Japan has. As I said Japanese took over Taiwan for a few years therefore you will notice there are somethings similar to Japan.
So this museum tells about the history of beitou and provided some knowledge on how hotsprings are discovered, formed.......blah blah...

After my short visit to the museum, I went back to the hotel to get my stuff, one last cup of hot chocolate and off to the airport~

Arrived early at the airport. Daddy brought us to the SIA lounge. I slacked awhile before going shopping! Actually there is nothing much for me to buy. When mummy came to join me, we went to a souvenir shop. Usually she wont let me buy anything, but surprisingly, she allowed me to buy a couple of stuff. Must be because i didnt buy much during the trip so she allowed me to buy. hehe.

After 7-8 days away from Singapore, I am finally home~

I guess this is one of my first not-so-much-shopping trip. (This is outrageous! I am at the place where everyone keeps telling me where to shop for good stuff.. and here i am seeing trees and mountains and animals!~) This will definitely not be my only trip. Taiwan! I'll be back!

Day 5 - Trip to 101 and Gu Gong Museum

Woke up as usually 7am (lolx, I don't think i wake up that early when I in holiday mood in Singapore lor!)

Breakfast was quick as the bus came at 8.30am.

Drop off half the group to zoo as they did not want to go temple.
The rest of us went to temple to give prayers (that reminds me, i yet to go temple in Singapore too.)

Yupz! Noticed the new hat? That's the hat bought in Shilin Market.
I dunno why but I wore T-shirt instead of my long-sleeve shirt. And boy I was right, the sun was out that day and it was not very cold.

That's me and mummy with our new hats!

Another group photo. This is taken outside Taipei Zoo, and i have not been in there at all lolx

How can one not go to Taipei 101 when one is in Taipei? So here we are at the side building of Taipei 101, preparing to scale the tower. (hahaha by using elevator la~)

So what you see above is one of the famous landmark in Taiwan~ (dont ask me what, i cannot remember lolx)

So this is how Taipei 101 look from a far
The sphere you see here is used to prevent the building from swaying in the event of typhoon, earthquake and so on.

My hand is pointing to where I am in the building

Yup yup! I went up all the way to the 91th stories. The rest 10 stories is inaccessible to the public
Like this pic! I'm walking on clouds~

I know I am acting cute here, but i cannot resist! lolx

So that's Taipei 101, which is not so interesting to me. I got bored after listening to the introductions for 10 mins so I tuned-off and just look around.

In Taiwan, one cannot miss out is JAPANESE FOOD~
Taiwan was once invaded by Japan, so their Japanese standard should be good. Furthermore they are so near to Japan, their sashimi and seafood should be very very fresh and YUMS~

So this is our Jap lunch, totally unplanned for.

Take a look at that SASHIMI~ yum yum drools~

It was her birthday that day too so we bought cakes for her (and for us to enjoy to ~)

After the sumptuous lunch, we proceeded on to visit GU GONG.
Basically, it is quite boring cos they were explaining the artifacts, which I have no interest of. The only history I am interested is Singapore and Music~

***Lucky I wore short sleeve shirt cos it was hot in the museum.***

This is the exterior of the GU Gong Museum

After Gu Gong tour, we proceeded on to Xi Men Ding for food and shopping.

I didn't eat anything much there because I was not feeling hungry and do not have the mood to eat. The stuff there are nice but I just do not have the urge to buy stuff lolx. I only bought 1 pair of earrings just before we left for hotel.

Day 6 - Beitou Hotspring

The day start off late, I woke up at around 10am. I wash up and pack my suitcase as we are moving hotel. We'll be moving to Beitou which have hotspring!

So yup, after wash up, I went to have breakfast with my parents. We had Mee Tian Bah, which is super delicious! I had 2 bowls of it, maybe it could be the fact that I didn't eat the previous night.

After breakkie, we bought some of mummy's favourite gummy sweet which we see on the way back to the hotel.

We checked out at 1pm and board the hotel transfer service to their Hotspring hotel!

The journey took us about 1 hour and here we are at the Hot Spring hotel~

The room is smaller as compared to the one in Taipei. I think this is a couple retreat kind of hotel. lolx (one night, I notice there is a condom pack in the lift dustbin).

The hotel is quite small and I only life 4 floors away from the hotel lobby. I always walk down the stairs as it is faster than waiting for that soon to breakdown lift.

As you can see, this is the toilet. Each toilet comes with a private hot spring!

Here's the hotspring bathe. you can adjust the temperature of the water. i like it real hot! and it cools fast due to the cool temperature outside.

yup, so after we check in and countless number of hot chocolate, we decided to venture into the city and look for interesting stuff.

As we were walking down from the hotel to the city centre, there is a hot spring museum, a public hotspring bathe and a public library. Behind me is the cool public library. (p/s: if you can see in detail, you will notice an ice-cream on my left hand! That is peanut ice cream)

This is the city centre of beitou. It branches off to different roads from here

We stopped by a Kway Teow shop which serves very delicious kway teow. I love it ~ lolx
(oh ya, this is also the place where i bought my domokun wallet!)

Before return to the hotel for our dinner, we went to buy fruits from the supermarket.
The fruits are sweet and nice.

Dinner was at the hotel lounge. Acceptable, not fantastic, but thats what you can eat at 8pm unless you wanna walk down to the city centre which is abt 10-15 mins walk.

We sat there till 10 plus before we returned to the room, I think we had countless hot chocolate there too. lolx
